On June 9, 1984, at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland, and later televised on the USA Network, two excellent professional wrestlers put on a fun "1980s Style" match in dramatic fashion. The match featured future WWE Hall of Famers "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Rocky "Soul Man" Johnson. The matchup included excessive stalling, boxing, a random fan coming to ringside and getting choked by Security, the use of a foreign object, and the infamous "feet on the ropes" for a dirty finish.
