The battle over the top rope battle royal style match, the Royal Rumble was created in January 1988, and was soon propelled to one of the most popular World Wrestling Federation (WWF) events. During the late 1980s, two of the most successful wrestling superstars in the WWF were Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Both professional wrestlers were at the top of their game during the three year span of 1989 to 1991, and their promos and interviews during that time period share of glimpse of what made both wrestlers so successful.
