Legendary professional wrestler Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka passed away in January 2017 at the age of 73. Snuka reached his peak popularity and worldwide exposure while working with the World Wrestling Federation during the 1980s. Pro Wrestling Illustrated named Snuka the most popular wrestler of 1983. He also received Match of the Year honors the previous year (1982) for his steel cage match with Bob Backlund. Snuka's outstanding wrestling ability combined with his unique personality made him one of the most memorable professional wrestlers of all time.
