WWF History: Hogan/Flair - September 1991 [Videos]

During the majority of the 1980s and 1990s, there was no professional wrestler more popular than Hulk Hogan. With the Ultimate Warrior's departure from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) after the August 1991 SummerSlam pay-per-view event, Vince McMahon relied heavily upon the talent of Hulk Hogan. In addition, in August and September 1991, the WWF added new wrestlers to their roster which included "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. With a built-up to a possible Hogan-Flair match up, WWF programming did all it could to promote Hulk Hogan and his upcoming Hollywood film, Suburban Commando, as well as paint Ric Flair as the perfect "bad guy" to face Hogan.
