This isn't a war. It's TNA using an old, broken down peashooter and some moldy peas vs. WWE. Vince McMahon opted to be complacent and selfish, putting himself over in the main event when the situation called for him to do the job himself. He went over because of the two graybeards in the TNA main (Flair & Hogan, of course).

One by-product that proves McMahon is aware of TNA is that Flair was removed from the opening ID montage, replaced by, of all people, the Ultimate Warrior. It's way past time, however, that McMahon woke up and embraced the reality of the business in 2010 and stopped treating his talent and the fans alike like children.

You've got some good points...

I think TNA is in a difficult situation. They may be trying to attract retro-fans at the beginning of the face-off, but that may not have a large (audience-wise) lasting impact to match up against the WWE right away.

I think it's good to have alternatives on Monday Nights. I'll watch the Bret Hart angle and a good match or two on Raw, while checking out TNA for the retro factor and great match-ups they have had in the past.

All in all, I'll enjoy watching both programs split screen live next Monday on JustinTv. Last Monday I had the mute button on Raw most of the night...however, that may just be me.
