Classic Matches: "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs Rick "The Model" Martel [Videos]

In the buildup for his match at Wrestlemania X, "Macho Man" Randy Savage faced off against Rick "The Model" Martel on an episode of WWF Superstars, which aired on February 12, 1994. This match would be Savage's last that was broadcast on that World Wrestling Federation television program. Savage would have one more unaired dark match against Crush and a match on WWF Monday Night Raw against Yokozuna, which would be his last match on WWF television. Savage would later join World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in December 1994 and wrestle for that company until May 2000. Savage's last match was with TNA on December 5, 2004, and never wrestled for WWF/WWE again.

Lex Luger introduced as the World Wrestling Federation Champion [Video]

In an unaired segment taped on February 22, 1994, during a television production of WWF Superstars in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Lex Luger snags the World Wrestling Federation Championship belt from WWF Champion Yokozuna's "Official American Spokesperson" Jim Cornette and is later introduced by ring announcer Bill Dunn as the "new World Wrestling Federation Champion" in a preview of what might happen if he defeats Yokozuna at Wrestlemania X. Unfortunately for Luger, he did not win the Championship at Wrestlemania X, and Bret Hart walked away that evening with the title, with Luger never officially holding the WWF Championship during his nearly three years with the company.

"As a matter of fact, man let me see that a little closer. That belt feels pretty good, doesn't it? As a matter of fact, if you don't mind Mr. McMahon, why don't we just show Mr. Cornette here, what this belt might look like around my waist."
