Classic Tag Team Battles: The Hart Foundation vs The Rockers [Videos]

These two professional wrestling tag teams had many battles throughout the years in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), but their August 1989 match is a highlight for pro wrestling historians who have the knowledge of how great Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels would become in singles competition. As Sean Mooney points out, these competitors have "speed, quickness, skill, power, everything." The match is best digested in segments to follow in-ring psychology and technique.

The 1994 WWF Royal Rumble..."30 Participants…In Your Living Room!" [Videos]

Beginning in 1988, the company formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) began to hold an annual Royal Rumble match. The match involved 30 professional wresters entering the ring at timed intervals until one participant remained and was declared the victor. According to WWF ring announcer Howard Finkel, the rules for the 1994 Royal Rumble were as follows:

"Earlier today, the 30 participants who entered [the Royal Rumble] drew numbers at random, and in just a few moments, we will see numbers 1 and 2 enter. And then every 1 1/2 minutes thereafter, the other participants will enter according to the numbers they drew. Remember in the Royal Rumble, it is every man for himself, no friends, only foes. Elimination occurs at anytime when a Superstar is thrown out over the top rope and onto the floor. The one man remaining in the ring after all 30 participants have entered, will be declared the winner of the Royal Rumble."

As a reminder, the 1994 Royal Rumble, held on Saturday, January 22, 1994, can be watched in HD on the WWE Network.

WWF History: Hogan/Flair - September 1991 [Videos]

During the majority of the 1980s and 1990s, there was no professional wrestler more popular than Hulk Hogan. With the Ultimate Warrior's departure from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) after the August 1991 SummerSlam pay-per-view event, Vince McMahon relied heavily upon the talent of Hulk Hogan. In addition, in August and September 1991, the WWF added new wrestlers to their roster which included "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. With a built-up to a possible Hogan-Flair match up, WWF programming did all it could to promote Hulk Hogan and his upcoming Hollywood film, Suburban Commando, as well as paint Ric Flair as the perfect "bad guy" to face Hogan.
