On the October 20, 2011 edition of Impact Wrestling, Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea) spoke to his fans about the mistakes he had made over the past year. He also thanked his long time wrestling rival Sting (Steve Borden).

- July 7, 1996: Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hogan fought to a no decision against Sting, Lex Lugar, and Randy Savage. Hulk Hogan formed what was known as the NWO after the match.
- September 15, 1996: Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, "Fake" Sting, and Hulk Hogan beat Sting, Lex Lugar, Arn Anderson, and Ric Flair.
- February 2, 1997: Hulk Hogan lost to Sting
